Woman arrested for drug trafficking

| Jun 27, 2019 | Drug Charges |

Cumming area residents understand that drugs are a part of our community as well as every other community across the U.S. Because of the prevalence of drugs, law enforcement agencies are stepping up their game in arresting anyone they suspect is involved in the manufacturing or distributing of drugs. Drug charges bring steep penalties to those who are convicted.

A woman was recently arrested in Forsyth after information was received by a drug task force that drugs were allegedly being dealt out of the residence. The Johns Creek Forsyth County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant of the residence which allegedly led to the authorities discovering several types of drugs, a large amount of cash and a shotgun. The woman was arrested for trafficking, possession, intent to distribute and other charges.

When a person is arrested on drug-related charges it is important for them to understand how serious these charges can be. A felony drug conviction can lead to years in prison, thousands of dollars in fines and a ruined personal and professional reputation. A legal professional who specializes in drug crimes can help their client tell their side of the story. They understand that their client has legal rights and that, with their skilled reputation, they can figure out what legal strategies would work in their situation. An attorney understands what is on the line and will work hard to protect their client’s future.

Cumming area residents who are facing drug charges know how serious a situation they are facing. Even though the stakes are high, the situation can be scary and it can feel like everyone is against them, it is important for a defendant to know that they still have legal rights.
