A prominent Forsyth County couple was recently arrested and face multiple charges relating to alleged theft from a charity they once managed.
Prosecutors say the couple diverted over $200,000 from the children’s charity to pay off their personal credit card debt and more. Earlier this year, during complicated litigation, each of them accused the other of misusing charity funds.
The couple formerly managed Kingdom Kids Charity Inc., a local organization that is designed to support children in need.
Prosecutors allege that the couple siphoned off more than $218,000 from the charity between 2012 and 2019. The couple is also accused of identity fraud by allegedly naming people to the charity’s board without their knowledge.
The allegations in this case are shocking. No one likes the idea of people stealing from a children’s charity.
