Man arrested for meth sale in Forsyth

| Mar 7, 2019 | Drug Charges |

Cumming area residents understand the importance of following the law. They understand that breaking the law can bring severe penalties. There are certain crimes that are prosecuted more aggressively than others, including drug crimes.

A man from Cumming was recently arrested for allegedly selling meth in Forsyth. The man allegedly sold meth to an undercover officer in January of 2018. He then moved away and was unable to be located until last week. The man was arrested and is facing charges of methamphetamine sale, possession of methamphetamine and marijuana, possession of a Schedule I substance and other misdemeanors related to possession and sale of narcotics.

Drug charges often carry serious penalties for those who are convicted. These penalties can range from thousands of dollars in fines to years in prison, along with having a tarnished personal and public record. Drug charges can stay on a person’s record for years, making it hard for them to get a job, rent an apartment, etc. If a person is facing drug charges, they may want to speak with an attorney who specializes in criminal defense. An attorney understands the importance of protecting their client’s future. They have the experience necessary to aggressively defend their client and understand how the local courts work and what defense strategies can work.

Anyone who is facing a drug charge can feel scared and nervous. These charges are aggressively prosecuted by law enforcement, making it hard for a defendant to tell their side of the story. A criminal defense attorney understands the repercussions a criminal defense conviction can mean for their client and will work hard to make sure their story is heard.
